“It all begins with a Culture”
A Mushroom Culture... From culture work in our mycology lab, to fruiting in one of our grow rooms, we handle all phases of mycelial growth out of our facility in Southwest Michigan.
Why does it matter?
Being a fully integrated farm allows us to grow any species of (cultivated) mushroom. So long as we can attain a culture and give it the right conditions, we can grow it.
We currently specialize in fruiting gourmet wood-loving mushrooms. Though, we hope to expand to into working with medicinal and terrestrial species in the future.
Is there a species of mushroom you’d like us to grow for you? Give us a call.
The Farm
Winter 2020-2021 : A foodie with an amateur interest in mycology meets the solitary free time of lockdown.
“It all began in a basement, growing a couple species of Oyster Mushroom on straw from the local co-op. I built a small fruiting chamber, a still air box, and a propane fired substrate pasteurizer. What started as a hobby grew into plans for the farm we have today. Our first few yields were abysmal, but I fell in love with the work."
How It Started
In June 2024 we moved into a new space in Galien, Mi. The facility houses a small warehouse for materials storage, as well as a dedicated space for each step in the mushroom growing process.

With just 3000sqft of indoor space, we’re able to grow over 1000lbs of mushrooms per week.
Outdoor fruiting can double our output during peak season.
Over a dozen species in our culture bank.
